HOT STUFF CAMP

3 Year Old Nursery School & PreKindergarten

Our HOT STUFF CAMP enhances each child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development and provides many opportunities for your child to grow and learn!

HOT STUFF also provides a wonderful opportunity for your children to meet new friends and get to know their teachers and their school before the academic school year begins; although, a child does not have to be enrolled in a school year program at The Academy to enjoy our summer camps!

Children need not be potty trained to attend!

ADVENTURE CAMP

with

"JUMP START" TUTORING 

Jr. K, Kindergarten

and

1st Grade - 6th Grade

ADVENTURE CAMP days include Jump Start Tutoring, Meeting Time, Centers (including Books/Reading Centers, Writing Centers, Blocks/Manipulatives/Legos, Puzzles/Games, Sensory Tables, Drama, Science), Yoga, Music & Movement, Songs, Cooking, Spanish, Science, Art Creations, Computers, Stories & Literacy activities, snack, lots of Outdoor Play, gardening, nature walks, adventurous activities such as hikes and scavenger hunts, swimming and field trips!

Outdoor fun and games include water play games, hikes, basketball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, kickball, whiffle ball, dodge ball, badminton, croquet, obstacle courses, cooperative games, relay races, 4-square, skooter basketball, "21", "nuke 'em", and much, much more!

Indoor fun on rainy days or super hot days, includes Wii, Arts & Crafts, board games, jigsaw puzzles, chess, Legos, music, cooking, Mad Science experiments, talent shows, computers, movies, and much more!

Planning for the Future :

Special Guests will visit every week and offsight field trips will be held weekly!

"JUMP START" TUTORING . . . 

In the mornings from 9am-11am, children have the opportunity to practice important academic and social skills and learn self-directed problem-solving in our academic environment filled with exciting hands-on experiences. Each child receives a work folder designed for their individual ability level, which they can work on at camp or at home all summer. This helps keep up skills so kids avoid the "summer slide"! There is a wide spectrum of literacy levels so each child receives individual tutoring at his/her literacy level.

JUMP START TUTORING provides reinforcement of all literacy skills, including reading, comprehension, writing, spelling, grammar and handwriting as well as teaching and reinforcing math skills.
