Under the visionary leadership of Kim Hope, Bright Beginnings Nursery School was established in 1992 for two-year-old children. The school's rapid growth and success led to the opening of The Burlington Academy of Learning in 1997. This expansion marked a significant milestone in our journey, culminating in our move to our current location in Burlington, CT. This growth is a testament to our commitment to providing a unique and enriching experience for all the children in our programs.
Analía Ozano

Analía Ozano is an experienced professional who joined The Academy in 2014. Her passion for languages, children, and teaching led her to assume the Bilingual Montessori Head Teacher role at our Kindergarten Academy. Four years ago, she took on the significant responsibility of Dean of School, overseeing all BAL curriculum, students, and family communications. Her tenure with us has been transformative, shaping her into the leader she is today as our Head of School.
Analía's journey with The Academy is marked by her unwavering dedication and innovative approach to education. Under her leadership, she has fostered an inclusive environment that promotes not only academic excellence but also emotional and social development. Her ability to connect with children and understand their unique needs has earned her the admiration and respect of both staff and families.
Tarynn Sigmon

Ms. Tarynn has 15 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She began at The Academy as the Waddler Head Teacher. Her exceptional leadership skills and dedication to school administration quickly led to her appointment as the Junior Academy Administrator. We are delighted to share that she has been promoted to Dean of School, overseeing all school operations and working directly with our Head of School.
With her wealth of experience and passion for nurturing young minds, Ms. Tarynn has consistently demonstrated a commitment to excellence in education. Her journey from Waddler Head Teacher to Dean of School is a testament to her hard work, innovative thinking, and ability to inspire both students and staff.
Carly DeLeon

Ms. Carly has been an integral part of The Academy for the past 5 years. She commenced her journey as an Infant Lead teacher and has since assumed the role of School Administrator. In this capacity, she diligently oversees daily operations, providing crucial support to teachers and the administration team.
Her dedication to fostering a nurturing and educational environment has been evident in every aspect of her work. Ms. Carly's ability to connect with both students and staff has made her a beloved figure within the school community.

Miss Taylor Winters rejoined The Academy in 2024 after finishing her college career and training. Taylor is in charge of all student matters and specializes in behavior management, bringing support to all students and teachers and forming an essential part of the administration team.
Her dedication to fostering a positive and inclusive environment has made her a beloved figure on campus. Whether it's offering a listening ear to a student in need or implementing new strategies to enhance the overall school culture, Taylor's efforts are always geared towards making The Academy a better place for everyone.
