Programs
At Burlington Academy, we combine the best of Montessori learning with a nurturing, child-centered approach to education. Our programs are designed to inspire curiosity, foster independence, and encourage each child to learn at their own pace through hands-on exploration and meaningful experiences. We offer an educational journey from our Infant Program through our Clubhouse Academy for school-age children.
Age Guidelines
Age guidelines may be adjusted when appropriate to best meet the needs of each child.
Early Childhood Programs
Infant Program
For children 6 weeks to 12 months.
Waddler Program
For children 12 to 18 months.
Toddler Program
For children 18 to 30 months.
2 Year Old Nursery School
For children 30 months to 3 years.
3 Year Old Nursery School
For children who turn 3 by December 31 of the academic school year.
PreKindergarten
For children who turn 4 by December 31 of the academic school year.
Junior Kindergarten
For children who turn 5 later in the year or would benefit from an additional year before entering Kindergarten.
Kindergarten
For children who turn 5 by December 31 and are ready for Kindergarten.
Extended Care Programs
After School Program
For Kindergarten students who need care after school. Available regularly or on an as-needed basis.
Homework Club
For 1st–6th grade students. Region 10 buses transport children to The Academy daily. Available regularly or on an as-needed basis.
Supplemental Care Program (SCP)
Available for children in 3 Year Old Nursery School through 6th Grade. SCP provides care during holidays, vacation days, and other times when academic programs are not in session. Children may attend on a regular or as-needed basis.
Holiday, Vacation & Snow Day Programs
Specially designed programs are available during school breaks and snow days. The Snow Day Program serves Kindergarten through 6th Grade students when public schools are closed.
Summer Camp
Available for children in 3 Year Old Nursery School through 6th Grade. Families may choose age-appropriate camp options throughout the summer.
Enrollment Options
Full Day School Year Program
Includes the Academic School Year program through the final day of classes.
Full Day Year Round Program
Includes the Academic School Year program and all Summer Camp weeks.
Hybrid schedules must be approved in advance by the Head of School.
