About the Academy
For 35 years, The Burlington Academy of Learning has proudly served families in the Farmington Valley, building a strong tradition of excellence in early childhood education. Throughout the years, we have remained deeply committed to nurturing each child’s unique potential while creating a warm, inspiring, and engaging learning environment.
Our philosophy is rooted in a thoughtful integration of Montessori and Reggio Emilia approaches. We believe children are capable, curious, and active participants in their own learning. Through a carefully prepared environment, intentional instruction, and meaningful exploration, we foster independence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. Our curriculum is designed to be flexible and responsive, allowing teachers to adapt to the individual needs, interests, and developmental pace of every child.
Our Facilities
Our campus is uniquely designed with four dedicated buildings, each tailored to specific age groups to ensure the best possible learning environment at every stage:
Junior Academy (Infants – Toddlers): A nurturing foundation focused on care, exploration, and early development.
Preschool Academy (2-Year-Olds – 4-Year-Olds): Encouraging independence, communication, and social growth.
Kindergarten Academy (4 – 5.8 years): Supporting academic readiness and foundational learning skills.
Clubhouse (School-Age Program): Offering before and after school care.
Our Campus
Our expansive campus features 12 playgrounds, allowing children across all age groups to enjoy outdoor activities simultaneously in safe, developmentally appropriate spaces. In addition, students benefit from a soccer field, a large industrial sized bounce house and slide, and a blacktop area designed for bicycles, scooters, and tricycles encouraging active play, coordination, and confidence.
