About Our Faculty and Staff
At The Burlington Academy of Learning, our teachers are exceptional. They are carefully chosen for their abilities, enthusiasm, and diverse experiences, but most of all, their love for children.
Our teachers are experienced, determined, insightful, and possess a passion for teaching. Many hold Associate, Bachelor’s, and Master’s Degrees in Education and related fields, and many are Connecticut State Department of Education certified. Head Teachers have received their Head Teacher designation from the State of Connecticut Department of Education.
What truly sets our faculty apart is their commitment to helping children learn, grow, and thrive. Their nurturing and supportive manner is key to the formation of our students’ positive self esteem, a critical component in a child’s overall development.
Dedicated to Lifelong Learning
All faculty are committed to professional development and staying up to date on the most recent developments in the field of Early Childhood Education. Our talented and creative faculty strongly influences our unique and exciting curriculum, bringing new ideas, experiences, and opportunities into the classroom each day.
Supporting Children and Families
Our Administrative staff is comprised of intelligent, enthusiastic professionals who are devoted to supporting every aspect of The Academy, from our students and families to our programs and faculty. Together, they share a common belief that children and families are the foundation of our society. Their dedication helps create the welcoming, supportive environment that families experience throughout our school community.
Safety is Our Priority
The safety and well being of every child in our care is of the utmost importance.
All Infant, Waddler, and Toddler Teachers are CPR, First Aid, Medications, and Epi-Pen certified. All 2NS through School Age Head Teachers are CPR, First Aid, Medications, and Epi-Pen certified. In addition to our Head Teachers, many additional faculty and staff members are CPR and First Aid certified.
We can administer medications when necessary, and a School Nurse is on staff weekly as an additional resource for our students and families.
Every faculty and staff member at The Academy is committed to ensuring each student's safety, health, and well-being while in our care.
We are a Special Team
Teachers of young children are a special breed, and we have a great team at The Academy.
You'll see, and you'll agree!

School Leadership

Ms. Analía Ozano

Analia Ozano has been a proud member of The Burlington Academy of Learning family since 2014.
She began her career at The Academy as a Kindergarten teacher and, after years of serving children, families, and staff, became Head of School in 2023.
With more than 15 years of experience in early childhood education, Analia is a certified Montessori educator and holds her Director Credential through Charter Oak State College. She is passionate about creating a school environment where children are celebrated, families feel supported, and teachers are empowered to inspire a lifelong love of learning.
As a polyglot who speaks four languages, Analia values cultural diversity and believes that strong relationships between school and home are the foundation of every child's success.
She is honored to lead The Burlington Academy of Learning and continue its 35-year tradition of educational excellence.

Ms. Tarynn Sigmon
Assistant Head of School
Ms. Tarynn brings 17 years of experience and a deep love for Early Childhood Education to The Academy. She began her journey with us as the Waddler Head Teacher, where her dedication to our youngest learners quickly stood out.
Through her exceptional leadership and natural ability to support both children and staff, she soon stepped into the role of Junior Academy Administrator.
We are thrilled to share that Ms. Tarynn has since been promoted to Assistant Head of School. In this role, she oversees daily school operations and works closely alongside our Head of School, Ms. Analía Ozano. Her passion for nurturing young minds, combined with her thoughtful leadership and commitment to excellence, has made a lasting impact on our community.
Ms. Tarynn’s growth from Waddler Head Teacher to Assistant Head of School is a true reflection of her hard work, innovative thinking, and her gift for inspiring students, families, and colleagues alike. We are grateful to have her leadership guiding our school forward.
