Founder
Under the visionary leadership of Kim Hope, Bright Beginnings Nursery School was founded in 1992 with a loving focus on two-year-old children. What began as a small program quickly flourished, guided by a deep commitment to early childhood education. As the school grew, this passion led to the opening of The Burlington Academy of Learning in 1997.
The Burlington Academy of Learning is privately owned by Ms. Kim Hope and her son, Scott Dunstan. As a family-owned school, it has been at the heart of their lives for the past 35 years, with children and families always at the center of everything they do. This exciting expansion marked an important milestone in our journey and eventually brought us to our current home in Burlington, Connecticut.
Each step of our growth reflects our dedication to creating a nurturing, enriching, and inspiring environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. Our family’s unwavering priority has always been — and continues to be — providing the very best care and education for every child entrusted to us.
Analía Ozano

Ms. Analia Ozano has been a cherished member of The Burlington Academy community since 2014, when she first joined us as our Spanish Teacher. Her journey soon led her to become our Montessori Bilingual Academy Head Teacher, a role that beautifully reflected her deep love for education and her strong connection to Montessori philosophy. Inspired by this passion, Analia pursued and earned her International Montessori Teaching Diploma.
With over a decade of experience in education, Ms. Analia is widely known and truly loved by our school community. Her students and their families value not only her knowledge and leadership but also the care, warmth, and dedication she brings to everything she does. Two years ago, this devotion naturally led her to step into the role of Head of School. Today, she leads The Burlington Academy with the same enthusiasm, compassion, and joy that once filled her classroom.
Analia holds a Director’s Credential for the State of Connecticut and continues to inspire our community through her commitment to children, families, and the Montessori values we hold dear.
Tarynn Sigmon

Ms. Tarynn brings 17 years of experience and a deep love for Early Childhood Education to The Academy. She began her journey with us as the Waddler Head Teacher, where her dedication to our youngest learners quickly stood out. Through her exceptional leadership and natural ability to support both children and staff, she soon stepped into the role of Junior Academy Administrator.
We are thrilled to share that Ms. Tarynn has since been promoted to Assistant Head of School. In this role, she oversees daily school operations and works closely alongside our Head of School, Ms. Analía Ozano. Her passion for nurturing young minds, combined with her thoughtful leadership and commitment to excellence, has made a lasting impact on our community.
Ms. Tarynn’s growth from Waddler Head Teacher to Assistant Head of School is a true reflection of her hard work, innovative thinking, and her gift for inspiring students, families, and colleagues alike. We are grateful to have her leadership guiding our school forward

Ms. Carly has been a valued and beloved member of The Academy community for the past six years. She began her journey with us as an Infant Lead Teacher, where her gentle approach and deep care for our youngest learners quickly made a lasting impression. Over time, her commitment led her to step into the role of School Administrator.
In this position, Ms. Carly plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the school, offering steady guidance and assistance to both teachers and the administrative team. Her dedication to creating a nurturing, well-organized, and welcoming environment is evident in everything she does.
Ms. Carly’s warm presence and ability to connect meaningfully with students, families, and staff have made her a truly cherished part of our school community.
