WHAT IS IT?
The "Supplemental Care Program" allows families who need full-time, year-round, care to enjoy the benefits of The Burlington Academy’s Academic School Year program(s) while also being offered care from 7am-6pm during days when the school year and/or our Summer Program is not in session. Parents choose:
- an Academic School Year program of their choice.
- the appropriate Summer Program (Hot Stuff or Jump Start).
- a "Supplemental Care Program" package.

By registering for the "Supplemental Care Program", parents are assured child care on the following additional dates from 7am-6pm:
- The Academy’s November Conference Day
- Winter Recess
- Spring Recess
- The Academy’s May Conference Day
- Summer Weeks after our Summer Camps end
PACKAGE INFORMATION
The package options for the "Supplemental Care Program" are as follows:
- 5 Day/week Package:
- 4 Day/week Package:
- Includes: one November and one May Conference Day, Winter Recess (3 days), Spring Recess (4 days), plus 4 days/week during summer weeks after our summer camp ends
- 3 Day/week Package:
- Includes: one November and one May Conference Day, Winter Recess (3 days), Spring Recess (3 days), plus 3 days/week during summer weeks after our summer camp ends
 ABOUT THE CURRICULUM
During "Supplemental Care Program" days, children spend time in all five of our stimulating classrooms and on two exciting playgrounds! They enjoy exploration in Centers set up in all classrooms, including Books/Reading Centers, Writing Centers, Computers, Blocks & Manipulatives, Puzzles & Games, Touch/Sensory Tables, Drama, and Music.
Our daily schedule includes Circle Time, Yoga, Music & Movement, Songs & Fingerplays, Art Creations, Stories & Literacy Activities, Reading and Writing Skill Work, Math Computation Fun, two Snack Times, Lunch and Outdoor Play.
Our two playgrounds provide environments where children enjoy the outdoors as well as play organized games and use the bikes, tricycles and scooters. Snow gear is required as we enjoy the outdoors year-round and in winter, build snow forts, snowmen and snow structures!
Individualized tutoring in reading, writing and math is available
from our certified teachers if desired by parents.
Nutritious, fun snacks are provided!
