DAILY CLASSROOM SCHEDULE

 

6:30-8:30amBefore School Program

                     Children may eat breakfast and enjoy Open Playtime

8:30-9:00amArrival and Welcoming Activities

Hand washing, socializing, and informal play activities

9:00-9:15amCircle Time

Stories, songs, finger plays, puppets, flannel board, sign language, etc…

9:15-9:30amHand Washing and Snack

Children all wash hands and enjoy a healthy snack.

9:30-10:15am   Music and Movement

Children enjoy engaging in gross motor activities to lively music.

10:15-10:45am Open Playtime and Small Group Activity

 Children choose play options such as:

*Blocks

*Train set, cars, trucks and airplanes*Touch Table- contents include sand, water, etc… and change regularly

*Dramatic Play including the kitchen, babies, dress-up, workshop

*Library

*Fine motor activities such as puzzles and manipulative

*Art Creations activities including Play-doh, coloring, finger painting, and easel painting

10:45-11:15amOutside Playtime

Gross Motor play           

11:15amClosing Circle Time

Weather, calendar, songs, good-bye songs

11:30am           Dismissal for Morning Class

11:30-12:00pmLunch Bunch

                                Children all wash hands and enjoy lunch together while learning manners.

12:00pmDiapering/Toileting

12:15pmDismissal from Lunch Bunch

12:30-2:15pmNaptime/Rest Time

                                Children nap or rest while listening to soft music and having their back rubbed.

2:15-2:30pmWake-up & Bathroom

2:30pmHand Washing and Snack

                                Children all wash hands and enjoy a healthy snack.

2:45-3:10pmOutside Playtime

Gross motor play                                  

3:15pmDismissal for Afternoon Class

3:15-6:30pmAfter School Program

The After School Program consists of Circle Time, Open Playtime, Art Creations, Music & Movement and Snack.

 

  • Our 2 Year Old Nursery School Classroom has a bathroom within the classroom which has a child-size toilet and a diaper changing table. Teachers help children with toilet training when ready and change diapers as needed. 
  • This schedule is followed as children respond well to predictability. However, this is a guideline and may be deviated from, at times, to allow for spontaneity.
